Worship Service

The focus of our worship service is God, not us. We gather on Sunday mornings to express our love, our praise, our adoration to the living God who seeks after our worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23 & 24)

A Common People

In the Psalms, (found towards the middle of the Bible) one of the writers asks God the question,

"What is man that you are mindful of him?"

- Psalms 4:4

As if to say,

" Why do you bother with us?"

A Broken World

When we look around and we see the hardships, struggles and immense pain that we bring upon ourselves due to our selfishness, our pride, our hatred, our sin, it isn't hard to understand where that question is coming from.

An Uncommon Solution

The stark realities of our broken world prompt us to search for solutions to our situation.

We search for hope, or if not hope, distraction, and if not distraction,  something that will at least numb us from the pain we feel. The only thing that has changed in the thousands of years that we have been on this search is that we now have more options.

In the midst of our wars, our cancers, our corrupt politicians, our mental illness, our financial hardships, our chronic pain, our failures, our shame, our poor choices, and the endless unsatisfying answers we have found, Jesus calls out to us and says,

"I am the way, the truth and the life"

- John 14:6a

Real, lasting hope, both for today, tomorrow and into eternity, comes to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

An Uncommon God

The writer goes on, in the rest of Psalm 4, to express his awe and wonder at the fact that God IS mindful of us. In fact, the story of the Bible is one that consistently declares God's unending love for His creation, despite our best efforts to reject Him.

Jesus' very existence speaks to this reality.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

- John 3:16

The good news of the Bible, is that God, the creator of the Universe, gave up His one and only Son for you, that you might have eternal life. This is the lasting hope that we have been searching for!

A Service of Worship

On Sunday morning at 10am, we gather together to worship Jesus, the one who has given us  lasting hope.

We worship Him with our voices through the songs we sing and the prayers we pray, with our minds as we read and take to heart the words of the Bible, with our resources as we offer Him our time, money, and gifting and our fellowship as we seek to love care for each other.

Every week we seek to offer our hearts, our minds, our souls and our strength to the one who, out of an infinite abundance of love and mercy, has cared for us and given us this great enduring hope that we now have!
